Yesterday we had the most amazing sunrise. I sent this to a friend and I'm posting it here because this is my junk drawer and I want to keep this for myself as well as share it with anyone who might be searching for a washer, a nut, a nail, or screw, batteries or anything else that might be found in a junk drawer.
And also because I was thinking about the sunrise again today and I thanked the universe again for that wonderful natural painting I was witness to yesterday.
I found in my email, just moments ago what is posted below my note about sunrises to my friend. it fits somehow. It completes my thoughts on so may things, from wondrous sunrises to napping with the baby. I am so lucky. I am so blessed.

Good Morning Bill,
Did you happen to catch the sunrise today? If you didn't, you missed a truly incredible thing. I can't begin to describe the colors, the enormous scope of a sky displayed from my window like one of those huge Georgia Okeefe paintings, but bigger, brighter, and more colorful.
I bet with your view it would have been even more magnificent!
I stood at my window watching the colors shift and change untill I couldn't stand there anymore. I had to pee so bad, and so did the little dog.
By the time we had both done our morning thing, the sun was up and the colors had faded except for a few purple clouds. You don't get sunrises like that every day.
How does that old saying go?My grand dad used to say, "Red sky in morning, sailor take warning, red sky at night, sailor's delight." We lived just blocks away from Lake Michigan, and the storms that blew in off the lake were awesome. It paid to keep a weather eye on the sky back then and there. I guess we'll have to wait and see if we get a bloody storm tonight? just to see if a red sky is a warning.
I'm spending the day with the great grand baby again today. I get to nap with one of my favorite kidlets today, how cool is that?
I'm wishing you a good day, and good weather,
Gem
Romans 1:20 All we have to do is stop what we’re doing for a moment and notice. God is ready and has given us much occasion to worship Him.
Psalm 19 David says, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.” The magnificence of God is all around me. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse,”
"We just don’t take the time. We do need to be still and know that He is God, but we also need to be still and notice He is God We fill our schedules so tightly that we rarely take the opportunity to be amazed by God. The spare time we do have we usually use in ways that distract ourselves from the reality of life. We do not live our lives in wonder at what He has made because we have been distracted by what we have made. Today maybe we need to take a moment and look for Him. Stop and gaze at the beauty He has made. Slow down and ask Him to reveal His glory in the midst of our ordinary lives. Pause and remember all the things He has done for us. I don’t think God planned for us to live our lives consumed by meaningless trivia and yet still be bored. I think He created all of life to allow His children to live in a constant state of wonder. May you live today being fascinated by your God" Todd Agnew
