For ages now, I have heard the phoobahs in Government warn about the Social Security fund drying up and going away. They wail and moan and mash their teeth, they fool around with the system to make it look like something is being done, but the reality is that it's a FUBA. The new drug thing is a classic example of a government fix.
The drugs I used to get for nothing, I now have to pay $15.00 for. Thank you GW, That was the little dogs food money. We ain't happy about the new drug plan.
But here's the thing.
I know people, and you do too, who for what ever reason are slaves to their addictions. These people can't hold a job. They have a disease. They are disabled.
This is the only disease that can be bought at the corner store, or just the corner.
Yet, the government, the bureaucrats who run Social Security, PAYS drunks and drug addicts the same $397.00 bucks a month, some times more, depending on what the person made when they did work, if they did work, as I get in disability payments. They get food stamps, (which they trade the food for cash) They get a medical card and if they are slick and work the system by going from doctor to doctor they can get drugs to sell or trade for booze if that's their drug of choice.
Some of these people live in shelters, don't pay rent, when they do eat they eat for free, so they can drink up the money or keep the crack dealer in business. Our government is an enabler. The government keeps the druggies in drugs, and the drunks from getting sober.
The government helps to keep street crime healthy and strong. Because most crimes are committed while the perpetrators are drunk or stoned outta their minds.
How much money would be saved if the SS office didn't allow addiction to be a disability?
Would they then be able to fund people like me, and my friend Peggy, who suffered a terrible stroke as she was being operated on for a back injury she suffered while working for the state as a home health aid? We both live so far below the poverty line, we have to jump up to see the bottom.
What about the lazy and greedy parents who teach their children how to act up and get their kids diagnosed as ADD and ADHD? These kids can then get the same disability check that Peggy and I get. These kids have never worked. The sad part is that the parents have them written up as disabled and they most likely will never work. Disability is the new welfare for those second and third generation cases.
I know a family, where every one is on disability. The mom, dad, and four kids. they get $2,382.00 bucks a month, free medical, over a grand in food stamps, and both the mom and dad work under the table. They own a show car, a boat, and they vacation when ever they feel like taking off for a week or two. They eat shirmp and steak at the begining of the month and use the food banks at the end of the month.
And I can't feed my little dog.
