The world is going to hell in a hand basket.
Not too long ago, I kept The Darling One over night. While she ate breakfast in her hi chair, I turned on cartoons for her to watch. It's been a long time since I have watched Saturday morning cartoons. One thing that struck me was how sexy the little cartoon kids were dressed. Then a commercial for some little doll came on and I almost gaged.
The four little girls playing with the dollies, no more than six years old, in string bikinis, hair do's, painted in make up to look like thirty year old adult women. They looked old and tired before their time. This can't be good.
Kids shouldn't be dressed like little adults. Not like little whores anyway.
There is a reason the pop star girls dress, dance, and act like sex pots. It's to sell a product They make big bucks prancing around half nude, they are selling their music, or what ever talent they want to make money from.
When pre teens and teens dress with tight jeans, just a hair's breath above their pubic bone, and tops that cover way less than they should, skirts that look like belts, or shorts that are cut so short that little butt cheeks hang out below the hem... what are they selling? Just who is buying?
Parents that are slaves to the latest fashion and the kids whims on what is acceptable do their children no favor by buying overtly sexy clothes. What are they selling? Who's buying?
Kids have always used fashion, hair, and music to rebel and draw attention to themselves. But what kind of attention are they asking for? and who is giving that attention?
When little kids and teens are being taken off the street, from their own yards, from their own beds, for God's sake, maybe we need to rethink fashion for children.
What a twenty one year old wears to a club at night to party, isn't appropriate for a teen or preteen to wear to the mall, to school, to church, to gram ma's house. If it's not appropriate for any of those places why the hell did you allow her to have it at all?
I'm not say ing throw a blanket over the kids head every time she goes out doors. I am saying that clothes make a person. If you want to be treated in a business way at the office, you dress in a business way. The office manager doesn't come to work dressed as a hooker.
Why would anyone in their right mind dress their child of any age like a sexy little adult? What are they selling and who is buying?

They're selling children on the idea that they can be sexy. And children are not the only ones buying it.
You must have a crystal ball eyes, and that is why they call you Gem. You're hitting like a laser beam, focused through a ruby.
Keep on writing, please.
